Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac rehabilitation at Drake Center treats patients with a broad range of
inpatient and outpatient needs, including those who have had myocardial infarction, coronary artery
bypass surgery, or angioplasty.Screening of potential patients
Appropriate referrals comprise adults, 16 and older, with heart disease,
including, but not limited to, myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass
surgery, angioplasty, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias,
valvular surgery, and cardiac transplants.
Specialized approaches
- A medical director board-certified in cardiology is available to the
attending physician for consultation.
- Education and training programs encourage patients to make behavioral
changes to improve health.
- Specially trained staff with advanced cardiac life-support certification,
using state-of-the-art monitoring and exercise conditioning equipment, track
patients' progress.
- Family involvement is encouraged and support services are provided.
