Most often, individuals need occupational therapy (OT) after an accident, illness, or surgery, or because lifelong conditions limit their abilities. OT professionals can help patients get stronger; relearn skills for daily living activities; use adaptive equipment when needed; regain as much independence as possible for self-care, work, and leisure; and return to home and the workplace faster with a plan for preventing future problems. For all these patients, OT means help in improving their quality of life.
As part of our continuum of rehabilitative care, Drake Center offers one of the most comprehensive and skilled occupational therapy programs in the Tri-state.
