Your family and friends are welcome at Drake Center. Suggested visiting hours are 11:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. daily. For safety purposes, each visitor is required to sign in at the nursing station on the unit before going to the patient’s room — and to sign out before leaving.
Drake Center doors are locked at 8:30 p.m. each evening for security reasons. After this time, a visitor needs to press the buzzer at the North Pavilion entrance to request admission. If leaving after 8:30, visitors need to go out through the North Pavilion lobby door. At 8:15, an announcement is made regarding these guidelines. Any visitor remaining after 8:30 p.m. is asked to stay on the unit of the patient being visited and not go to other areas of the building.
Drake Center reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a patient at one time, to ask visitors to leave if the visit becomes disruptive or disturbs others, and to ask visitors for identification.
Patients frequently receive therapies or other treatments between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. For convenience, individuals may want to come after 4:00 p.m. when patients are more available.
