
As the Chief of Pulmonary Services, Dr. Amaresh Nath provides expert medical direction for pulmonary care at Drake Center—one of the region’s leading facilities in this specialty area. He is also responsible for medical direction of the outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program offered at Drake Center Therapies at University Pointe, a Drake satellite location in West Chester, Ohio. In addition, Dr. Nath serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Veterans Administration Medical Center in Cincinnati.
As part of his role at Drake, he oversees Drake’s unique, comprehensive, highly successful ventilator weaning program. In a recent national study, Drake’s team achieved a 75% weaning success rate for patients on ventilators—significantly higher than the average for other facilities.
Dr. Nath joi ned Drake Center after several years of experience as a private practitioner and hospital attending physician. He has also coauthored many articles for professional journals, as well as making a number of presentations at both regional and national conferences.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Bombay, he completed two residencies in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He has earned board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine in three areas: Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.
