John P. Weintz, M.D.

As an attending physician on the Long-Term Acute Care units at Drake Center, Dr. John Weintz provides high-quality care for patients with a wide range of complex illnesses. Drake’s services include medically complex, pulmonary, cardiovascular, wound, brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, neuromuscular, orthopedic, and amputee care and rehabilitation, as well as ventilator care and weaning for ventilator-dependent patients.

Dr. Weintz joined Drake Center in 2007 after four years with Internists of Fairfield as a hospitalist at Mercy Fairfield Hospital. In this role, he treated a wide range of conditions, as well as providing internal medicine and critical care consultations for other internists. He also worked with other physicians, administrators, nurses and hospital staff to improve overall processes and patient care.

A member of the American College of Physicians, he is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Weintz earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed his residency in internal medicine at The Christ Hospital  in Cincinnati.
