The Drake Foundation Drake Center is the region's leading provider of specialized medical and rehabilitative care—for both inpatients and outpatients. With the goal of restoring patients to the highest possible level of functioning and independence, and helping them return to lives as close as possible to the ones they once enjoyed, we are the Rehabilitation Specialists.SM  Drake Center is a nonprofit, community-based health care institution.

Good health care requires a good foundation

The Drake Foundation was established in the late 1990's to enhance the care, comfort, and quality of life of Drake Center patients and residents. We are proud to say that we have been true to that objective.

Gifts and fund-raising activities have made it possible to provide programs, services, and equipment for patients, residents, and their families, above and beyond operational funding. Some key examples are:

  • State-of-the-art advanced wound care treatment modalities.
  • Cardiopulmonary equipment to establish the region’s only bedside cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program.
  • Neurorehabilitation equipment that helps patients recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries to reach their highest possible levels of functioning.
  • Pulmonary equipment that allows for accelerated ventilator management and weaning.
  • Pastoral care program.
  • Cutting edge technology to support research in the areas of rehabilitation and neurological disabilities
